Wild Garden of Childhood

Northampton, Massachusetts

Pablo Neruda noted that everything is ceremony in the wild garden of childhood, we are here to help curate that.

Wild Garden of Childhood is a fully licensed and insured daycare in Northampton, Massachusetts. Our aim is to create a peaceful child friendly nursery, where parents feel comfortable and confident that they made the right choice for their childs care. We believe in a mixed age classroom and try to make a family like environment. The children in our care benefit from continuity of care. Children stay with the same teachers from the time they enroll, until they leave the program.

At Wild Garden, time is carved into each day for nature based play, reading, music and art exploration. Wild Garden is specifically designed for infants and toddlers up to thirty three months. We will care children beyond thirty-three months but the goal is to love them up until pre-school. From WGC we hope to help your child transition easily to pre-school.

We use soft hands and warm voices to create a calm loving environment drenched in sun and play. The music is always on and the space is conducive to early learning and exploring.

You will find little tables, chairs, soft areas and books at The Wild Garden. We curate nooks to hide in and areas to lay and play in. We offer lots of light, laughter and lovely snuggles.

Our mission is to sustain an educating, engaging and safe environment, where children can foster and develop into creative, caring, independent and empathetic people.

We focus on culture and environment awareness. We aim to help children learn to become accepting, open minded and productive members of their community.

We try to make the best choices for the community and your children. That is why we are chemical free and use only natural based cleaning products and provide eco-friendly diapers and wipes for all children.

This place was made for your child.

We have a great yard to play in. With age appropriate climbing equipment, a big sand box, swings, sensory tables and a towering maple tree for shade. Fruit trees line the property, hydrangea, mint and the quince sweeten up the yard. Each classroom area has direct access to the garden. We often ventured to the river, field, or local park during our outside time.

We provide the children with toys made from natural elements to explore. The log climber, mud kitchen, smell garden and sand play are highlights of the play yard.

By using natural elements, outdoor time and uninhibited play, babies time at Wild Garden of Childhood is blissful.
